My Art
Art is a reflection of an internal reality and should intrigue and hopefully uplift the spirit, emotions, and mind. I try to achieve it through the medium of the abstract painting.
My Background
Born in Korea in 1959, I obtained a Master of Fine Art from The Open University in the United Kingdom after graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Art from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University and a Diploma in Fine Art from LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore.
Experience
I've participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions and have been awarded several recognitions including the ASEAN Art Awards.
I was the Singapore winner of the 2014 UOB Painting of the Year Award.
My artworks are part of important collections; the Singapore Art Museum, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore, Ministry of Manpower Singapore, Philip Morris Singapore, European Financial Group, and INSEAD Business School in Singapore.
My public art murals, “PIN – 23040” at Stevens MRT Station in Singapore and another 45 meters-long gigantic public art mural “RILIC-486” at West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, are on a permanent display to the public.
